Lakme is one such brand which has introduced Indian women to international quality and variants of makeup. 20 years back, lakme was the only brand available in India and can say, synonymous to makeup. Still in Indian suburbs, villages- high end makeup for them is Lakme foundation, lipsticks and kajal
For me, it was their nail colors and trying almost all kinds of shades from their collection.
Lakme and me have come a long way, though I am not a pro in makeup but then i love using colors on my eyes. While searching for some festive kind of shades, i came across this-
Lakme 9to5 Eye color Quartet in Desert Rose.
I was confused since Faces Glam on Color perfect palette in captivate gave a close competition for the colors were same with comparable quality too. But then I wanted to try the Lakme palette desperately so finally its in my hand.
A versatile quartet of high intensity powders put together to color, shape, highlight your eyes like never before.
The Lakme 9to5 Eye color Quartet in the shade Desert Rose comes packed in plastic case with dual small sponge applicator. Applicator is good enough to use, i have used it and even washed it twice and it's still intact. The quartet case is sturdy but i would have preferred a small mirror case.
The Lakme 9to5 Eye color Quartet, as four shimmer shades. Perfect combo of colors apt for all kinds of festive and party makeup.

All the four shades are extremely pigmented and has fine shimmers. They are finely grounded, soft and silky. 2-3 strokes with your fingertip or a soft brush would give amazing color to lids. The colors show up well with and without primer. My eyelids are quite oily but I usually do not wear primer, still they look quite well. Colors are buildable and blends well with each other too. Just add a dark shade to a smokey effect.
In terms of staying power, the colors stay for 6+ hours after which they do not crease but starts fading (without primer).
Although the palette is not all-in-one, it has ALL shimmer shades. You need one highlight and matte shade to create a complete look. Still I find this my go-to palette for all kinds of looks I want to create.
If you want subtle day makeup, use only rose gold while for a night makeup, grab bronze and copper & you will rock! All the colors are perfect for indian skin tones and would complement well with Indian attire.
