Budget Bargains: JOY Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Cream

Hi All, 

I have been using body oils and have been skipping body lotions and body creams since quite long. Recently i came across this cream and could not resist from grabbing this. Its something i use when in hurry and  need something to sort out my dryness in seconds...so its JOY Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Cream. Joy is relatively a new brand in India which has gained popularity in very short period of time-credit goes to their product quality. 

I have use their body lotion Joy Honey & Almond Lotion and loved it for its amazingly hydrating and nourishing properties. 

Now lets see if Joy Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Skin Cream lived up to my expectations after using the Joy Body lotion or....

Price- 85 INR for 100 ml. Obviously quite reasonable but is it even worth it?

Easily available on retail counters, not sure about online availability. I even tried to find the information about the product from their website but could not find the product info and that raised a doubt if its a DUPE. I contacted the company people and they told that since the product is a new launch the information is not updated on their website. But when i saw the GLOBAL version of their site- http://www.joycosmetics.com

I found a product with a similar packaging but with a different name- Joy Cocoa Butter, guess this is the Indian Version of the product.

Joy Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Skin Cream comes in a plastic tub packaging, sealed with an inner peel-off foil. The same colours usual with most of Cocoa rich product- shades of brown and labels in black and white. (quite similar to Vaseline Cocoa Glow Lotion)

This is thick cream coffee cream in colour. It smells nice- like butterscotch cake/chocolaty flavour which most of us would like (although i do not like butterscotch flavour). 

As i said its thick and creamy like body butters and spreads well on damp skin. I usually prefer Body oils and lotions as they spread well but in extreme dry skin conditions this cream came as saviour. Apply the cream well after shower on your body and the skin remains soft and moisturised for 6-7 hours. The Company claims for 24 hour nourishment which would probably not work in extreme winters otherwise its sufficient and goes all day long in moderate climate. The cream is soothing and nourishing and till now have not find any side effects after using this. 
The downside- Long list of Chemicals and yes, it contains parabens too.
Ingredient list- Aqua, mineral oil, Glyceryl Monostrearate, Glycerine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petroleum Jelly, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Dimeticone, Fragrance, Triethanolamine, Complex fruit extracts, Shea butter, Cocoa butter, Methyl Paraben, Disodium EDTA, Propyl Paraben, Butylated hydroxy Toluene, CI 16255, CI 19140, CI 61570

Overall Joy Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Skin Cream is good body cream with excellent moisturising properties & ofcourse quite reasonably priced as compared to its branded counterparts but if you prefer something free of Chemicals/Parabens you can skip this.
