Anti Acne Gel: Tvakh Vs Biotique

The most annoying thing for a skin freak like me....Acne.
I guess this is probably a never ending search where I may not be able to find a complete cure to my deadly cystic acne and these adult acne ...is a pain.
But what i have observed so far is that natural, organic and chemical free treatments works..although a gradual process which takes its own time but it does.
With the new organic natural brands blooming in India, have got ample of chances to try.
So today its not just a brand but a specific concern- yes its Acne. This word ' Acne ' & 'Gel' grabs my attention everytime i am looking for my skincare stuff.
So in a shopping frenzy, I got to grab two of such products but from different brands-
1. Biotique Bio Chlorophyll oil free anti acne gel (199 for 50 gms)
2. Tvakh Magnolia and Chaulmogra oil free anti acne gel(585 for 30 gms)

Biotique Bio Chlorophyll oil free anti acne gel-
Simple sturdy platsic tub packaging secured in a carton, all labelled up with product details.
This is  dark green gel which derives its green from the very known plant source' cholorphyll' and other ingredients like sea algae. Light weight formula with a typical fragrance (which reminds me of local products with added fragrance). Other ingredients like aloe extracts, gum arabic along with this would not only serve as an anti bacterial but nourishing gel.

Ingredients like - Chinai ghas (Gelidium amansii)- Agar Agar, a red algae for skin softening and tightening, Kuda (Holorrhenna antidysenterica) to treat skin infections, Ghrit kumari (Aloevera indica) to hydrate and nourish skin, Kikkar gaund (Acacia Arabica) for treating and healing, Samundir Kai (Gelidium amansii) green algae to firm and tighten, Himalayan Water Q.S.
Obviously safe to use as its claimed to be an ayurvedic medicine with therapeutic properties with its organic ingredients sans preservatives, dermatologically tested but not on animals.

This is meant to treat acne and also act as soothing gel. So i have tried applying this in many ways - like mask/gel base for powder masks/Night gel/spot treatment for red inflammed skin/SKin soother after waxing.
All i could say that it surely moisturises and soothes skin but can not replace your moisturiser as it sets as layer on skin. For Acne or pimples, this sill not treat or prevent but would just calm down your skin. But as base for masks, its good and acts as enhancers or catalyser.
So if you are looking for a light anti bacterial night gel, this is a good option as it soothes and refershes your skin while reducing a bit on white heads/black heads.

Tvakh Magnolia and Chaulmogra oil free anti acne gel
Again a light weight light green gel stored in a classy glass tub secured with a silver cap.
But this one too smells weird although not artificial; might bother sensitive noses.

Formulated with Chaulmoogra, Magnolia, Berberis Aquiofolium and amino acids that inhibits acne causing bacteria, clears acne blemishes, blackheads and prevents future breakout by regulating sebum production. The antioxidant action of black seed oil prevents the free radical damage and helps to repair the damaged skin by restoring the natural PH balance.
No parabens, No GMO, No phthalates, No petroleum oils, No sulphates and No animal testing. All safe to use on skin.

Have been applying this majorly as night gel- spreads and vanishes within next few seconds after application. it is meant for reducing Pimples, pustules, black heads and comedones while reducing Redness and improving scar and healing wounds. it surely soothes and nourishes the skin. With few applications you may find reduction in black heads/white heads but treating pimples is not something i could notice.
So this gel is again a light weight anti bacterial night gel cum mosituriser to soothe and protect your skin.

Here both the brands are organic with impressive ingredients where Biotique Bio Chlorophyll oil free anti acne gel is an inexpensive option than Tvakh Magnolia and Chaulmogra oil free anti acne gel but none of them lives upto the expectations of treating pimples or pustules.
So till I find an effective and safe remedy for acne and pimples...Stay natural, stay safe.
