All these days i have been wandering that how others are coping up with such struggles with the fact that everyone has one or the other troubles in their life still, they are able to make it.

May be they are able to push themselves to a little more extent, probably more than i do.

But I am back...with a promise with myself that I would prioritize but with No compromise.

Skin Care Haul- The Body Shop, Farsali- First Impressions

Hi Girls, 

Past few weeks has really been hectic as i was too occupied travelling but then my favourite escape to the boredom and monotony was (and would always be) online shopping. 

Was excited to see year end sale offers  & discounts so some of the picks were like...lures and while others were new and some were on my wishlist.

Lets see some of them which i have in my bucket..

1. The Body Shop Haul- This was like the one most awaited one. flat 50% off sale on The Body SHop site!!!. There were real good products on offer and it was difficult to choose few but then after a lot of random thoughts i picked- 

a. The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Sleeping Cream (INR 2495 for 80ml)

I bought this as i was looking for a good Night cream which addresses my Acne prone skin and aging concerns. i was all done with my Kama Ayurveda Night Cream and it worked amazingly well on my skin so that i had too high expectations for others to match. But then Oils of Life was a good deal at flat 50% off although I was eyeing Tea Tree Anti Imperfection mask along with The Charcoal Mask but then its better not to be greedy...hehehe.

My first Impressions- Nice gel cream with pleasant aroma; is so calming and soothing for face. Have used it for 5-10 days and always woke up with plumped, hydrated and glowing skin. No side effects so far.

Reading the title you might have got it...its The Body Shop day today. 

If you have read last few posts, I had discussed how I got my TBS Rainforest Conditioner accidently and how I missed ordering the TBS Rainforest Shampoo.

Hi Girls!

This time it took me quite a long time to get back in blogging mode...Why???

I have many reasons- Firstly was neck deep drowned in my projects and assignments, was away from home intermittantly which was somehow somewhere blocking me and lastly poor old google and its technical troubles!!! I have been a lover of herbal and ayurvedic preparations for beauty and skin care. Love for herbs made me try herbs and Essential oil DIY's. But gradually my love has been transformed to obsession with recent addition of Organic formulations...The more i tried organic products, more I love and crave for them.

My favourite is handmade soaps and if they are with my favourite set of ingredients- its icing on cake!!!

I have combination skin which is extremely acne prone so most of my skincare products are targeted ones, either to treat acne or absorb excess sebum. But that leaves my skin deprived of required nourishment at times. So during the changing weather I was looking for a product which would nourish my skin and also help in removing the acne marks & blemishes. 

Although there are several options available in the market but they narrow down to few when you look for herbal/organic products.

Hedonista Oudh frozen Ittar: dehn al oud, Review

A solid perfume inspired by fragrant souks and musky monsoons. Dance the night away on a tidal wave of dehn al oud.

But for me, it's pure calming fragrance of dhoop, incense from temples mixed with some floral notes. Every time I apply this, I feel as if I am sitting in my Grandma's pooja room and delving in deep soothing smell of incenses & fresh flowers and my grandma has put a cotton bud dipped in ittar on the back of my ears & my wrists. it's Nostalgic! This revived my childhood memories.

Actually fragrance is an integral part of Indian worship rituals. Attar Buds are applied to lord Krishna as part of their daily shringar (grooming).

Khadi Sansthan Glycerin Skin Cleanser- kewra: Review

Today its a bath & body product from Khadi Sansthan- its Khadi Sansthan Glycerin Skin Cleanser- Kewra Flavour.

Initially while looking for a Herbal Shampoo, i located this at Khadi Sansthan counter. 

But before we go ahead about reviewing this cleanser, let me first clear you all that the brand here is not KHADI but Khadi Sansthan and both are different. The first one is from Gramodaya Ashram which was set up by Mr. Sugrive Singh in the year 1963 while the latter one is a Govt. owned organisation which deals in manufacturing & promotion  of hand woven Khadi garments and other herbal/ayurvedic products.

Homemade: Anti Ageing Face Oil for Acne Prone/Oily Skin

Its after a long time i am doing a 'Home Made' post.

Today its about a Face Oil which is not only a good skin moisturiser but has anti acne and anti ageing properties too. After finishing my Iraya Oil, i did little research on benefits of Aromatherapy and essential oils. I made a small batch of this OIL and since then i am using it since long and believe me i just can't stay without it.

So its high time to share the recipe with my readers too.
