Tvakh one of the few organic skin care and cosmetic brands of Indian Origin. Founded by Pritka Singh, was the first ever company in Chandigarh with a vision to ensure that every product manufactured under the brand is absolutely natural and that too with Competitive pricing, which is again one of the key factors adding to its popularity.
If you might have read my last few posts, I had a Tvakh Haul. Intrigued by their Skin care range with claims of being natural and organic, The first thing which I was excited to try was- Tvakh 5% Vitamin C Glow Booster Exfoliating Water.
Prabably the first ever Vitamin C water from India and even the first ever Vit C water I am trying. Vitamin C is considered to have huge skin benefits. The antioxidant properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) along with its collagen synthesis properties makes it a vital vitamin for skin health. whether taken orally or though topical applications, it surely aids in collagen synthesis and prevents cell damage and some studies have shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV)-induced photodamage.
I am using this since a long time and that too regularly. Lets see what has been my observations-
Price- 550 INR for 200 ml. Can be easily sourced from company website.
Packaging- This is simple packaging- Opaque plastic bottle with a screw cap and inner dropper lid. All the details about the product are mentioned on the labels. Vitamin C oxidises fast so the opaque plastic bottle would prevent this.
Vitamin c is in a water soluble stable form - ascorbic acid while % is not mentioned. Other ingredients like Orange peel, Aloe extracts, Calendula flower extracts along with Salicylic acid, Sulphur, teat tree oil and glycolic acid would not only handle skin issue like acne, pimples but would also help in fading lines and pigmentation.
But did that really help and proved its claims???
This is watery solution, at times you would not even feel that it has any ingredients mixed untill you could smell the faint floral fragrance. Has mild cooling effect too, you can enhance the same by keeping it in Refrigerator.
Take few drops on your palm and apply generously on damp skin (either just after washing face or after applying toner/flower water). leave it for a second or two and then apply other skin care products. But do make sure to apply a good mosituriser and a sunscreen as the water could make your skin sensitive.
After application, never felt any kind of sensation, itching or redness nor any other long term side effects. Rather my face was getting clearer and I could feel that healthy glow.
Meanwhile to test the results are from the water, I stopped using this for a week and i could see my acne/whiteheads appearing again. So I could see the visible difference it made to my skin. Exfoliation is not like usual physical exfoliators but yes, you can feel your skin peeling after few applications.
Other way round , it can be mixed with clays and gels to apply as mask. Would surely give better results as i tried the same after my facial massage.
I was dying to try Korean products with Vitamin C but now I am happy that an Indian brand is having a good option to try.
Meanwhile I have also started using a Vitamin C serum for better results. Would soon get back with a review of same.
Overall Tvakh 5% Vitamin C Glow Booster Exfoliating Water is a great product to try and the best part, it would suit all skin types. HIghly Recommended!
My Rating- 5/5
