Juicy Chemistry- Helichrysum and Rosehip Cell Reconstruction Serum Review

This is what the brand claims about their Face Oils aka serums in their words. The Brand?-
its Juicy Chemistry.
Its been more than 6 months i am using this serum from Juicy Chemistry and now I can say I am in a position to give my verdict on the product. But you would ask why such a long period???
Actually the day since product is in my hands, have been using intermittantly and that took me so long to come a conclusion. I will tell the story but lets first see what the product is all about-
Name - Juicy Chemistry- Helichrysum and Rosehip Cell Reconstruction Serum
Quantity- 10 ml

Price- INR 555 & 1300 for 10 ml and 30 ml respectively. its easily available online on nykaa, amazon and the company website here. I would suggest you should keep checking out offers on Nykaa as the price is more on expensive side. if you are oil lover and hoarder like me then Offers are a best bet to grab deals.

I sourced this from Nykaa and god knows why i picked this rather than another Anti acne serum available from the brand- The Frankincense and hemp seed one ( I love the frankincense fragrance so much...and i keep having recurring acnes too....still).
Probably this claim on the site convinced me-
Pesky marks from break outs? Pigmentation? Random spots? Then this serum is for you! Not only is our serum a great moisturizer, it also systematically repairs and reverses damage. Carrot seed oil which provides the rich golden colour is the star anti-antioxidant, geranium acts to soothe inflammations and helichrysum heals tender skin.

Packaging-The serum came stored and packed in a dark tinted glass bottle with a dropper dispenser. As usual labels but not all the required information about the product. I had to switch to site to find complete details about the product. label fonts were too small for even my camera to capture.
Ingredients and benefits- (as given on site)
Ingredients with benefits were mentioned but without the proportion details. As expected 100% organic formualtion sans chemicals. All I could guess after trying the product that Rosehip Carrier oil is the base oil with proportions of other essential oils mixed in it.
Helichrysum Essential Oil
Part of the sunflower family (Helichrysum italicum) the essential oil is extracted from its bright yellow flowers. It enables the skin to retain moisture, and prevents cracking of the skin. It also helps increase the turnover of skin cells, thereby helping the fading of scars.
Neroli Essential Oil
Neroli oil (Citrus auratuim bigaradia) is derived from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree.  It is one of the few essential oils that increases the production of serotonin in the brain, thus creating a feeling of being contented and cheerful. Neroli works towards promoting cell growth thereby helping towards scar healing and marks. It also fights infections and soothes inflammation.
Carrotseed Essential Oil
Carrotseed oil (Daucus carota) is derived from wild carrots. This pale, yellow oil is rich in carotene and Vitamin A. It is excellent for dry, itchy skin and helps to heal burns. It also acts as a great conditioner for hair and skin and it is an excellent moisturiser for mature skin.
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) is extracted from the sap of the Boswellia tree which is widely grown in the Middle East. Frankincense promotes cell regeneration, and keeps skin tissue healthy. It also reverses the signs of ageing and reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil (Rosa canina) is a sweet smelling oil derived from the seeds of rose bushes.  It has a high concentration of essential fatty acids which are beneficial to the skin. It has a high content of Vitamin C, and is an effective antioxidant which helps reduce the appearance of scarring, hyper-pigmentation, and skin damage.

Now my Experience- First time when I tried this in day time(after washing my face) on damp skin, usual 3 drops with a little warming up on my palms. This is bright chrome yellow quite light and dry oil in consistency. it smells WOW- one can clearly sniff Frankisncense with a bit of floral hint. I loved the Fragrance. The oil easily gets absorbed into skin and you wot find any oily or greasy layer on the your face. Enitre day my face was all moisturised and plumped with a subtle glow but second I found a tiny bump on my cheek. I continued using this for next 3-4 Days but reducing the amount to 1-2 drops only but then every next day their was one or the other bump. I discontinued....with an afterthought to try this later.

After 15 days when my skin was back to normal- I tried this at night but only with 1-2 drops. I woke up with plumped and glowy face but then again I found that my cheek area is all getting dense with whiteheads (which were somehow lessened with my Kumkumadi oil).
Then after using for a week I discontinued.....

With the onset of monsoons, I started again with this during Day and night but with only one drop and again i was having one or acne or pimples on my nose or cheek area.
I started using this mixing it with my day creams or mositruisers rather than applying alone. but could not find any improvement.
Moerever I could not find any significant improvement in my acne marks or pigmentation with the oil. So was just a super good moisturiser for me.

All what i can say that major ingredients worked on my skin keeping it moisturised all day and night and even imparted a healthy glow but the culprit here is Rosehip Oil. Actually I tried this oil before for my DIY's. After a period of time, I found that my skin is not accepting the oil although its quite light and considered as dry oil but then every type of skin has its own tendency and people like me whose body and skin are super sensitive, cant' do anything and just look for better alternatives.

Overall if your skin is dry, oily but not acne prone or super sensitive like mine- Juicy Chemistry- Helichrysum and Rosehip Cell Reconstruction Serum is a great face oil/serum to try.Tryworthy!
My Rating- 3.5/5
Have you tried Juicy Chemistry- Helichrysum and Rosehip Cell Reconstruction Serum?? what was your experience? Would you like me to try other products from the brand Juicy Chemistry? Which one would you want me to try.....
