Hi Everyone,
AVON is not a new name in India, the only other brands to enter India along with Oriflame with Multi Level Marketing concept and has developed good consumer base with its quality products.
It was a new chapter with their entrance on online shopping sites, so an easy access to the products. Heard good reviews about their new Range- Nutra-Effects. Was looking a good day cream for my Man- something hydrating yet with sun protection and anti ageing effects too. Obviously Multi Action!!!
So I ordered this AVON Nutra effects Active Seed Complex- Ageless Multi-Action Cream spf 20 from Nykaa.
Price- INR 629 for 50 gms. Easily available on online and retail counters. Grab this on festive discounts going on....
As the site says-
Quick Overview
With SPF 20 & broad spectrum UVA/UVB, protects skin from sun damage, provides upto 48 hours of hydration and restores skin youthfulness.
Key Features:
Skin looks youthfully supple & firmed after 1 day of use.
Ingredients
Active complex based on pomegranate seeds : Packed with anti oxidants, minerals & vitamin C, pomegranate helps slow doan the skin aging process & restore skin's firmness & elasticity.
So the brand claims not only to hydrate but also restore skins' youthfulness along with sun protection. Again Pomegranate seed and oil is considered to be packed with anti oxidants and known for its anti ageing properties so here is something to rely on.
Packaging- its quite simple yet attractive. White carton box in white and purple with details of the product storing a glass tub ; transparent and bulky in same colour labels. Surely its risky to carry while you are on the go..
Ingredients- long list...You will find that all the extracts mentioned are in the bottom of the list, that shows that the concentration/quantity is quite low in the mix.
I gave the this to him and as usual he started using this with apprehensions. After a couple of days,
Me- Are you using the cream?
He- Which cream?
Me- The Avon One, Which I gave you?
He- Oh That one...actually its too thick and oily. I feel that too heavy and sweaty. I cant use that...Ill be back the previous one.
Me...Oh! Then let me give it a try....
What i found- its surely a thick white cream and quite heavy in texture. Floral Fragrance but too mild to bother your sensory organs. What I usually do is wash my face, spray flower water and apply serum/face oil and post this apply this cream in few dots & spread over the face with light circular massage motions. It sinks within few seconds and after this, whole day I did not feel any dryness or stretchiness on my face. It has spf content but not strong enough to go all day. I even do not repeat applying this rather would prefer apply only a sun protection lotion but do neither.
After a month or so I can say that its a good one...Why?
1. It hydrates well, goes all day long.
2. It does not irritate or clog my pores, no pimple or whiteheads
3. It has a mild fragrance
4. it has paced up process of fading my pimple marks and blemishes along with other products i use.
5. Goes long since small quantity is required. (I have not even finished half of the tub as of now)
I have not observed any sweating as my Hubby did and always was carefuk while applying so no heaviness or greasiness felt.
What all do i need....Yes, Im surely glowing but Firmness and elasticity, I didnt see any significant result to notice. As I always say, anti ageing effects are visible only after a long and continuous use and that too are temporary...vanishes as soon as discontinue using. So probably I need more time to observe the anti aging effects.
Overall AVON Nutra effects Active Seed Complex- Ageless Multi-Action Cream spf 20 is a good cream , provided not over applied. It suited me so i guess would suit all oily-combination to acne prone skin and dry skin people are already blessed, can try this too without any hesitation. People like my Man would always prefer gel base light weight products so not for them.
My Rating- 4.5/5
Have You used AVON Nutra effects Active Seed Complex- Ageless Multi-Action Cream spf 20??? or anything from the range??? What was your experience?
