LA Colors Matte Lipstick in Mad Love: Review & Swatches

LA Colors Matte Lipstick in Mad Love Review

Hi Everyone,
Recently i have developed affinity for pinks-purples and have bought several of my stuff including makeup in the colour. Guess this is my transition from nudes to bright shades and i could not believe it looked good and earned several compliments...
so continuing with my purple fever i am sharing one of the pretty purple-pink lipstick from a new brand. This is LA colors matte lipstick in shade MAD LOVE.
LA Colors is brand which claims to be fun, fearless cosmetic brand known for its quality and affordable makeup range which is not tested on animals. This is my first ever encounter with the brand.

Matte about color! L.A. COLORS Matte Lipstick has you covered with 16 gorgeous, matte shades. This revolutionary formula redefines Matte – wears comfortably and will not dry out lips. The wide range of eye-catching colors is highlighted by the modern, square design and includes everyday nudes to vampy, bold shades. Lips are supple, yet velvety matte.
But why MAD LOVE, again for the same reason that this was a proper mix of pink and purple. Moreover it was matte...so apt for all day long wear. Lets see how it was...

Price- I got this for INR 395 from Purplle while it is at $3 on the company website but then it offers free shipping on orders above $35. So Indian shopping sites gives a better deal unless you are in a mood to shop voraciously from the brand.

Packaging- The LA Colors Matte Lipstick comes packed in a retractable bullet pack with a plastic cover with the bottom case matching the shade. But here the downside is the missing locking system. The plastic cover detaches and the peeping bullet gets damaged while laying inside the makeup bag. Sturdy Locking system is needed!

Colour, Texture and longevity- Colour, obviously i liked this magenta colour and it looked lovely on my lips. This is such a beautiful colour which would look good on all indian skin tones although people on fairer side would love it. Also with approaching winters this is cool shade to try with western and indian attire.
Texturewise, this is little difficult to apply as it is quite matte and dry so people like me with dry lips need to buff and moisturise well before applying else it becomes difficult to apply it evenly on lips. Moreover being 100% matte it is quite drying for my lips. A single swipe would probably not give the exact colour and I needed two to three layering for a proper colour payoff. Pigmentation is quite good but the bullet being hard, dry and matte needs a little effort. But being matte, it stays for quite long-say 5-6 hours  and even survives a meal.
I am loving this shade but would have loved a semi-matte or creme one for my lips.

Overall LA Colors Matte Lipstick in Mad Love is good lipstick to try and people loving matte lipsticks would surely love this. Worth trying!
My Rating- 4/5
Do you also like creme lippies like me or you are a matte person?
Which one is your current favourite lipstick?
