Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Mosituriser with Sunscreen...What my dermatologist said???

Today I am reviewing one of the popular brand's serum or as they say moisturizer but placed in serum's category. While looking for an anti aging plus a hydration formula either water based moisturizer/serum, i purchased this online. its about Rapid Wrinkle Repair moisturiser with sunscreen from +NeutrogenaIndia .

Product Packaging-

it comes in white carton box with the product details at it back along with a unique actual bottle size watermark to give you idea about actual bottle size while purchasing.

Product comes in a can with pump dispenser which is sturdy with a turn lock and easy to carry while travelling. Small bottle with no leakage and pump dispenses just the required quantity of around 1 ml at a time.

Ingredients, Uses & warnings-

Quite an impressive ingredient list. Its good that it comes with complete product description along with uses and warnings too

Texture and Fragrance- it is milky white lotion with mild floral fragrance. Although it mentions but i did not feel that it was not water based but gets easily absorbed within few seconds of applications.

My Take - 

I started using this at the onset of Monsoon as it is the high time when i need something hydrating, non- comedogenic & sun safe. I required only single pump amount for my face and as i said gets easily absorbed. i used this only during day after my CT routine, without any more sunscreen added. spf 30 is enough for indian skins and that too in monsoons. I did not feel any irritation, itching or redness immediately after application. But i did not notice any glow or fading of those few lines on my forehead or under eyes.

After 12-15 days i started noticing certain inflammations and break outs and those were painful. inspite of using home remedies and some of my tried and tested formulas like clindamycin etc- no results. I had to approach my Dermatologist. After studying my entire skin care routine, he told me to immediately discontinue this moisturizer. He said such kind of multi-tasking products usually does not work rather blocks pores. He told me to use a simple water based moisturizer with a good sunscreen along with some oral medications. So for now, i have stopped using this and back to previous CTM routine.

So it was not my dermatologist choice, atleast not for me.

Overall the formula may suit normal to dry skins but while checking the website and instructions given nowhere i found that it was customised for Indian skins.

Update- since i was trying not use but when my husband got over with his daily moisturiser, i gave this to him.
To my Surprise, it suited him as there were no side-effects (like that of mine). For other claims like smooth and younger looking skin...it takes time to show up.
