Luster Dark Secrets...Is it a Dupe of Lush Dark Angels???

Usual skincare routine says- Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising while a weekly routine involves - Scrubbing. 

I have pretty oily, acne prone skin (usually whiteheads) so scrubbing is one of the safe ways to get rid of extra deposits on my skin. And online shopping has given me far more options to explore varieties of scrubbing products. 

Today its a charcoal scrub from an Indian brand, Luster Skin Care- handmade beauty products. it is Luster Dark Secrets.

Reason why I bought this- it caught my attention as the packaging and labelling resembled a lot to Lush Dark Angels. And this gave a thought to try this even if it is dupe.

Luster Dark Secrets- is basically a charcoal scrub and comes packed in black tub with white accents and labelling, with the ingredient and usage information on the outer carton cover. 
Luster claims to be handmade product company and for other information, I could not find much information except their facebook page where product variety was displayed but specific information about each product was missing.

Ingredients- 

Black Clay mud, Jojoba Wax, Glycerine, Finely Powdered Charcoal, Black Sugar, Perfume, Walnut Shells, Cream Base, Rosewood Oil, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Linalool, Permitted Preservatives. (preservatives details are not mentioned so that creates a doubt)

Luster Dark Secrets is a creamy scrub greyish black and grainy in texture. It has a strong artificial smell which was disappointing. 

As per the given instructions, they have mentioned to use water to mix and apply for oily skin. so i did the same. First time I took the usual amount I take - a half teaspoon. The scrub particles although are abrasive but due to creamy base they are not scratchy. It exfoliates well. After washing my face, was left with a greasy layer on my face for which I had to apply face mask. It was really difficult to remove that greasy layer and only after washing with Patanjali Saundarya face wash, I was back with clean face. 

Next time onwards, I took just a coin sized amount followed with Khadi Neem face pack and it worked. I never had any break outs post scrubbing so a -safe bet. 

But everytime I used the Luster Dark Secrets, My skin was clear and glowing. I got rid of dead skin, some of faded marks and most of white heads too. Infact my friend complemented - you're skin is clear and brighter now. 

But Is it a Dupe of Lush Dark Angels???- I would say no. Its just the packaging which deceives while from ingredients to usage and effects, its entirely different. But then even it works.

Overall Luster Dark Secrets is a good scrub for all skin types but again a patch test is always needed. Worth Trying!!
