Home Made- Get Relief from Stomach bloating and Menstrual cramps

Hi Girls, 

Its been really long i did my Home Made post. Although i have so many other posts pending too but thought of doing this first.

Handle Tummy Bloating during menstrual cycles- I always suffer from PMS with this unbearable menstrual cramps, nausea, vomiting, fever & what not!. 
since past few years even experiencing bloating which is I tell you, looks so shabby. 





I usually avoid taking anti-spasmodics. Taking Hot-pad treatment, doing Yoga, drinking hot water helps but i have one more way to sort it out.
All you need is 
1. 1/2 tsp of Turmeric


2. 1/2 tsp of Ajwain, carom (Trachyspermum ammi)


3. 2 tbsp of Jaggery


4. a pinch of salt
5. 1 tsp of Ghee (clarified butter) or salt-free butter.


6. I glass of Water.

Mix all the ingredients and boil them till the content reduces to half. Sieve it and drink it little hot.
This concoction  would not only relieve you of menstrual pains but would help clean your stomach and get rid of bloating. Also this would help you have sound sleep too. Try and drink it at least for 2-3 days for better results. You may even try this when your dates are approaching i.e. prior cycle starts. 
This is my mom's sure shot recipe and i have been using this since last so many years. Also its good to taste so you don't have to bother about the taste. Also this is usually given to new moms soon after they deliver the baby in India, for the same purpose of cleaning stomach and relieving pain.

Turmeric- Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. Curcumin is strongly anti-inflammatory, it is so powerful that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs. Turmeric also helps repair damaged skin and tissues.

Ajwain or Carom Seeds-  is packed with thymol. It is known to help in cases of indigestion, flatulence, nausea and relieve colicky pain in babies. Thymol, the essential oil obtained from ajwain has local anaesthetic, anti-bacterial and antifungal properties.

Jaggery-is one of the best natural cleansing agent for our body which effectively cleans the respiratory tracts, food pipe, lungs, stomach and intestines. It helps the body to get away with unwanted particles and thus provides relief from constipation. it helps in treating conditions like indigestion and constipation. it helps in promoting relaxation of muscles, nerves and blood vessels, thus enhancing their functions. It helps regulate menstruation cycle in women and is a good source of iron. Jaggery has potassium, helps in reducing bloating and water retention.
