Biotique Botanicals Bio Carrot 40+ spf UVA/UVB sunscreen ultra soothing face lotion: Review

Today i will be sharing my views about Biotique Botanicals Bio Carrot 40+ spf UVA/UVB sunscreen ultra soothing face lotion from +Biotique . With the onset of summers i had stocked some sun protection stuff. 

I have been using Vaseline body Lotion since long but now wanted to try some thing new and little more effective for sun exposure. Looking for some herbal or organic ones, you hardly have options in your hand. SA at counter suggested me to try Biotique Botanicals Bio Carrot 40+ spf UVA/UVB sunscreen ultra soothing face lotion.

Ingredients- Parijat (Nyctanthes arbortristis), Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), Gajar (Daucus carota), Yashad bhasm Zind ash with herbs, Singjerahata (Talc), Cream Base Q.S.

My Experience- 

I am using this lotion since last couple of months. The lotion comes packed in round white opaque plastic bottle with the Biotique signature packing in green and yellow. It has a green plastic screw cap with an inner dispenser lid to protect overflow. Entire information about the product, company, usage, ingredients, price etc on the label.

The lotion is thick white emulsion with a mild and soothing floral fragrance which i really like. it spreads well hence coverage is good. it gets well absorbed and does not sit on your skin forming a layer like usual sunscreens. Since it has oil base so i avoided using this on face and restricted till my body parts. Lotion is quite hydrating; once applied in morning after bath, you hardly feel any dryness. The lotion is not waterproof and needs reapplication after heavy sweating or longer outdoor exposure. Also never noticed any itchiness or reactions after using this lotion. 

If we talk about Sun protection part, it claims to have 40 spf with PA+ and UVA/UVB protection. So in my case the maximum protection should be 400 minutes. However it did not worked for me. Little longer exposure of more than 5 mins causes sun tan with burning sensation even after applying this lotion. So i can say it is more of a body lotion for me.

Overall Biotique Botanicals Bio Carrot 40+ spf UVA/UVB sunscreen ultra soothing face lotion would work for people who are not highly sensitive to sun rays and for others it is a good body lotion.
