Nyassa Argan Oil...How to use it?-Review

Hi All,

This #GOSF i had an organic haul only of essential oils. The way i am getting obsessed with these oils and organic skin care products, I guess would replace my stash soon with only organics.
Anyways there's no harm in it, Right?
Today i am reviewing one of the most raved organic products- Argan Oil which i sourced from Nyassa bath and Body.

Initially i bought this to tame my dry and frizzy hairs. Its been more than 4 months i am trying my ways to use Argan oil. Lets see if it lived upto those tall claims of being liquid gold?

For those who are aware of #ArganOil and its benefits-
Argan oil often referred as 'Liquid gold' is a plant oil extracted from the kernels of Argan Tree, found in Morocco deserts only. Hence one of the rarest and expensive oils of the world. Apart from its Culinary uses, its has recently gained name as high end Ingredient for personal care products world wide. Brands like Josie Maran, The Body Shop has an entire separate range of Argan oil products.
Argan oil is loaded with vitamin E and essential fatty acids, claimed to amazing healing, repairing & conditioning properties for Skin, hair & nails too.
Organic Argan oil in its purest from can also be used for babies.
Usually produced by traditional cold pressed methods by local women from Morocco.
Often used as Carrier oil for various oil based preparations.

My first exposure to Argan oil was with Nyassa one, which i ordered from +Nykaa

Product Description-
Argan oil is useful in the treatment of skin inflammatory diseases like Acne. Many external and internal agents like heat, over styling and oxidization damage the hair. Vitamin E present in Argan oil is very useful in restoring the natural hair and renewing and repairing the damage caused by destructive agents. Argan oil enhances the elasticity of hair and proves to be very nourishing for the growth of hair.

Product Price and Quantity-
I paid 600 INR for 50 ml while 100ml is now available at 1300 INR at nyassabathandbody.com

Product Packaging-
Simple packaging; The one which i got was a transparent glass bottle with drop cap dispenser (which is truly annoying as it takes ages to pull out even single drop). Since a glass bottle prone to breakage but being a thick glass it easier to handle.
Recent packaging is changed to a dark glass bottle with a pump dispenser *Relief*

Texture & Fragrance-
Yellow oil which looks thicker and greasy but on application its not. It has a slight nutty aroma although not bothering.

But this one is not 100% pure as it is mixed with Vitamin E Acetate despite that itself has high levels of Vitamin E and is quite oxidatively stable.

My Experience-
I tried using it for hot oil massage on hairs, pure & mixed with other oils both, but could not find any noticeable results. Tried this massaging on face but could not find any satisfactory results.
Later i read in one of the blogger reviews that she uses a serum, with Argan oil as its major content and is pretty happy with it.
I then started using this as hair serum, applying it on damp hairs, specially at ends and also a little to tame my baby hairs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my hairs were super soft and frizz free for next two days. I am using it regularly entirely replacing my serums and my hairs are gaining lusture & strength every time.
Then i mixed it with my bath oils in 1/10 of ratio and it worked well then too. Imparted hydration and glow to my skin.
Now i was little assured to try it on my face, since its winters my face gets dry & patchy so i mix 2-3 drops with my moisturiser and apply it everyday Day & Night (yup i am not using any night or Day cream as i am experimenting with essential oil DIY's). Its a dry oil (which does not dry your skin but is non greasy or sticky) and is easily absorbed on damp skin. I observed my skin getting dewy and glowy day by day.
Till now not tried on nails/cuticles but its the high time as my cuticles get pretty rough in winters.

Overall its a MUST have in your beauty stash. Although its expensive but given the amount required per application, it not.
Do try this and tell me how it worked for you.

My Rating - 5/5.
